Drive gear
Since 2011, the design of the entire differential has been radically changed, which allowed to reduce the specific pressures on friction disks in three times, excluding the main reason of scratches on them and early loss of blockage.
At the moment, such differential design is provided only at LKMZ, as other manufacturers continue to manufacture the old differential design, developed by the Kharkov Tractor Plant (HTZ).
In addition, the design of the LKMZ differential provides a rigid exact alignment of the differential cases with each other, which excludes their mutual imbalance.
Taking into consideration that the differential cases are the base for the installation of the driven gear, this alignment enables to significantly improve the quality of the bevel gears engagement, while reducing the noise and increasing their durability.
BEVEL GEAR WITH CIRCULAR TOOTH (DRIVING AND DRIVEN)
- They are hot forged with correct arrangement of fibers.
- They are made of high-quality alloy steel, so the gears have significantly higher indicators of contact and flexural strength and, thus, a higher resource.
- After machining the gears are case-hardened (cementation) and die quenched.
DRIVING FLANGE
- The flange is hot forged with special machining and heat treatment.
- Special attention is paid to the high-quality smoothing and additional heat treatment of the surface under the cuff with high frequency current, which eliminates oil leakage through the flange.
- The early scuffing and wear of splines or other surfaces are prevented.
FRICTION DISCS
- They are hot forged with correct arrangement of fibers
- There is a special heat-treatment before machining.
- After machining the parts are case-hardened – nitridation and die quenching.
