HARP celebrated its 70th anniversary

On November, 1 2017 Kharkov Bearing Plant (HARP), a leader of Ukrainian industry, celebrated its 70th anniversary. The representatives of the largest companies in the region came to congratulate HARP.

In particular, the representatives of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia – Kryukov Railway Car Building Works and Panyutin Car-Repair Works, the heads of PJSC TURBOATOM, Kharkiv Machine-Building Plant "FED" and many others visited HARP.      

The guests were introduced the modern machine park and technological processes of roller bearings production. They visited forging, turning, heat-treatment and grinding-assembly shops of railway production line.  

The Honorary President of UPEC IG, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Anatoliy Girshfeld, Vice President Sales and Marketing of UPEC IG Roman Girshfeld, General Director of JSC HARP Vladimir Kokhanov and plant management personnel met and accompanied manufacturers-colleagues.        

Vladimir Kokhanov gave a press-conference on the occasion of the celebration. He told about the successes and achievements of the plant and highlighted that employees of HARP have every reason to meet the anniversary in a good humor. General Director noted that HARP actively works and develops despite the difficult situation in domestic engineering.

The plant manufactures high-qualitaty and competitive products which are in demand on domestic and European markets. In order to expand the geography of supplies, the plant continues to develop new innovative product lines for the railway and agricultural industries, and completes the certification of bearings destined for European railways.

"Today we have innovative production facilities of the world level and are ready to increase production volumes and geography of supplies. By the way, for the nine months of this year, we have increased production volumes by 80% in comparison to the same period in 2016. For the past 15 years, a tremendous work on technical re-equipment of the enterprise has been done. Hundreds of modern CNC machines and other equipment for the technical purposes have been modernized and purchased. The own test center, which has no analogs in the former Soviet Union, as well as a powerful designing department allows to develop and bring into serial production new bearing types that corresponds to the world quality standards and successfully compete with the products of the world leading producers", – points out Vladimir Kokhanov.

The own training center is established and operates at the enterprise in order to provide the enterprise with qualified personnel. "Today, as well as many years ago, we raise and teach specialists ourselves. Annually over 100 students of Kharkov Universities undertake an internship at HARP and some of them get a job at the plant after that. We are interested in young employees as well as in high-qualified specialists", – tells the head of enterprise.    

Vladimir Kokhanov also informed that there is a positive trend in terms of paying salary to the workers. "Currently the arrears of salaries at the plant have been eliminated. There is a steadily increase in salaries to employees", – says Vladimir Kokhanov.

According to him, the trend of salary growth is expected to be saved in the future. The grand evening and a concert of Kharkov actors and amateur groups continued the event.
