Kharkov Bearing Plant (HARP) presented world-class exclusive products at the international exhibition «AGROEXPO 2016», which took place from September, 29 to October, 1 in Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovograd).

HARP booth was visited by hundreds of farmers, directors of agricultural holdings’, manufacturing companies and companies, specializing on the sale of spare parts for domestic and imported agricultural machinery.
“The greatest interest of visitors was paid to the new types of HARP products: bearings and bearing units, optimized for application in tillage and seeding machinery of domestic and world- leading manufacturers. “This is a new generation of world-class bearing products: line of the UC-type bearings, pillow block bearing units, HARP AGRO UNIT bearing units, HARP AGRO bearings, including the new type – bearing AA205DD-376905EKL19, designed for coulters of Great Plains, Chervona Zirka and other seed drills”, - says Sergey Dehtyar, Export Sales Manager.

“HARP bearing units can compete with products of the world leading manufacturers, such as SKF, FKL and other – says Aleksey Grynenko, Chief Designer of the Ukrainian Transmission and Chassis Design Bureau, - For example, a complex protection system of the HARP AGRO UNIT is one of the strongest among the analogs. All bearing units have a three-level protection. Labyrinth cutter prevents high pressure of the soil to sealing and provides protection of the unit from mechanical damages. Cassette sealing made by the world leader Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (Simrit) provides reliable protection from mechanical impurities from the external environment. The bearing has an integrated enhanced lip-type sealing. Such complex provides reliable protection from all types of pollution”.

Another design feature of the HARP AGRO UNIT is possibility of the bearing replacement at any time without the housing replacement. Worn bearing can be simply replaced and the unit is ready for operation again. “This benefit is almost not provided by other manufacturers, and if the bearing is worn, the entire bearing unit shall be replaced” – says A. Grynenko.

The latest development in 2016 – the range of UC-type bearings, pillow block bearing units, designed for application in John Deere, Claas, Case, New Holland and other machinery – has attracted the interest of owners of the imported machinery.

“Distinctive advantages of the bearing units, consisting of the high-strength UC-type bearings and housing made of cast iron, are the possibility of self-aligning, X-SHIELD sealing of increased tightness, as well as grease fittings to ensure a long service life of units and their maximum efficiency”, - says Vladimir Fedorchenko, Deputy Chief Designer of Ukrainian Bearing Industry Design and Technology Bureau (UKTBPP).
Bearings with the X-SHIELD sealing distinguish with the sealing design, which provides not only increased tightness, but also protection from external mechanical influences.
"The X-SHIELD sealing consists of the heat- and oil-resistant seal made of synthetic rubber and steel shield, which protects from dirt, dust and moisture, and also ensures the grease retention. The external side is metal, thereby the straw moving during combine’s operation cannot damage the seal or get into the bearing’s cavity and disturb its normal operation. Our bearings with X-SHIELD sealings work efficiently even in dusty environment, severe operating conditions, they are maintenance-free and have longer service life", – says Vladimir Fedorchenko.

The visitors were able to obtain more information about HARP bearing products during the conference "Special solutions in bearings and units for agricultural machinery", organized by the specialists of UKTBPP and UKBTSH in the framework of exhibition, where there were presented state-of-art products and solutions for agricultural machinery, which improve quality and efficiency of the implements, reduce costs for their maintenance and repair, increase service life. "We are confident in the segment of bearing products for agricultural machinery. For about 70 years HARP has been supplying bearings to a lot of leading manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the CIS countries and not only. Today HARP is the only manufacturer in the CIS, which develops a new generation of the world-class bearings", - sums up Natalya Akimenko, Marketing Director of the UPEC Industrial Group.
