Lozova citizens were presented a book dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Lozova Forging-Mechanical Plant

About one of the largest machine-building enterprises in Kharkiv region, Lozova Forging-Mechanical Plant (LKMZ) there was written a book "LKMZ – 50 years. We write history of plant and city together." The book was presented to the city leaders, workers of all generations, honored engineers during the celebration of the Day of City, on September, 16. 

"History of the forging-mechanical plant is closely connected with the development of Lozova city and the citizens, so it was decided to write a book that would reflect the ages of formation of the plant and people who worked and work there", – said Anatoliy Girshfeld, Honorary President of the UPEC Industrial Group. He noted: "We can be proud that the plant has experienced hard times and today it has a prospect of development: young specialists come to LKMZ and the new directions of production are developed". Anatoliy Girshfeld was thanked for his support in the book’s writing and received the first copy from the plant management.


The book was also presented to the Mayor Sergey Zelenskiy, who thanked the plant its assistance to the city as well as Lozova mechanical engineers for contributions into the development of Lozova city.

Copies of book and disks with video about the 50th anniversary of the plant, made by TRK SIGMA television company, were also presented to Lozova citizens, who joined the book’s writing and contributed their materials dedicated to the anniversary of LKMZ.

The Editorial Board was headed by Vasiliy Chernomaz, General Director of LKMZ, Ashot Keropov, Deputy General Director, HR Director of LKMZ and Anatoliy Babenko, former Chairman of the Veterans Council of LKMZ. The Editorial Board members were: Sergey Nestrugin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UPEC Industrial Group, Anna Bibik, Head of the UPEC Press Service, Lyudmila Golub, editor of the “Mashinostroitel” newspaper, Alexander Kolesnikov, the former Director of LKMZ, Anatoliy Movchan, Chairman of LKMZ Labour Union, Georgiy Nedilko, veteran of LKMZ, Vladimir Miroshnichenko, veteran of LKMZ, Alexander Yatsenko, Head of Advertizing Department of the UPEC IG, Anna Skripnik, Director of TRK SIGMA.

After presentation of the book Anatoliy Girshfeld and the Mayor of Lozova Sergey Zelenskiy laid flowers to the monument of Fyodor Suprun, first Director of the plant.
