Automotive Division of the UPEC Industrial Group summarized comprehensive training of the HARP dealers

Automotive Division of the UPEC Industrial Group summarized comprehensive training of the Kharkov Bearing Plant (HARP) dealers. The training program was launched in April, 2016.

The three-month training program for dealers combined presentation of existing products and new developments of HARP - UC, YET, YEL bearings and bearing units for imported agricultural machinery, information on their development and sales markets, competitive advantages, training webinars and case discussions in the format of the responses to questions from leading managers of the Automotive Division.

Within the framework of the project there have been organized workshops for the following Ukrainian dealers: PC "Prompodshipnik", "TD IRBIS", LLC "TPK" Omega-Avtopostavka", PC "Podshipniksbyt",  PE "Vintehpostach" and others. In some companies the presentations were held both for employees and customers.

As a result of the training the sales have increased.  Thus, according to the information of “Omega-Avtopostavka” (classes were held from April, 19 to April, 21 in Kharkov, Odessa, Kiev and Lviv) volume of sales of HARP products to customers who visited the workshops, has increased by 17%. Sales managers who have been trained, increased sales by 12%. Workshops efficiency is calculated as the ratio of purchases of customers and sales managers in the period of 6 weeks of training to the period of 6 weeks before the beginning of training.

Also on June, 15 it was held a webinar for Russian dealers. Speaker of the webinar was the Deputy Chief Designer of the Ukrainian Bearing Industry Design and Technology Bureau (UKTBPP) Vladimir Fedorchenko. There were highlighted design features of bearing products and new developments of HARP. Such companies as Rolex (Tomsk), Inveks (Chelyabinsk) and Sphere (Moscow) have joined to the online broadcast.

On July, 6 there was held another webinar for Russian dealers on the hub bearing units. Speaker of the webinar was the Chief Designer of the Ukrainian Transmission and Chassis Design Bureau (UKBTSH) Alexey Grynenko. Subject of the webinar was: "Design analogues of the hub bearing units of the majority of European manufacturers and bearing units for seed coulters".

There were discussed design analogues of the hub bearing units for the foreign manufacturers of compact disc harrows: Lemken Rubin 9, Bomet, SKF, Gaspardo and other; bearing units for seed coulters (Chervona Zirka «ASTRA», Salford). Participants were familiarized with technical characteristics, application and design features of the bearing units.

Head of the Product Development Department Chepurnoy Alexander noted that in general the training was comprehensive and included automotive, agricultural and general purpose bearings. Upon completion of the project some companies have expressed a desire for additional workshops. Thus, according to the request of "TPK" Omega-Avtopostavka", at the moment we prepare a presentation on the application of HARP bearings in the automotive market. Training on this subject is planned for the end of July - beginning of August 2016.

It’s to be recalled that the decision on the dealer managers training was made as a result of meetings with HARP dealers. According to the training program, during the first half of 2016 all managers of HARP dealers in Ukraine and the Russian Federation were trained.

Upon project completion all managers which have passed full-time training received Certificates, and expressed readiness to continue to take part in such projects. In turn, Automotive Division is planning plans to conduct training programs annually.
