Engineering and manufacturing center “SKB Ukrelectromash” as an independent company was founded in 1963 and in Soviet times was the leading enterprise for designing of electric motors of small and middle sizes. In 1975 the SKB entered industrial union “Ukrelectromash”, created on the base of Kharkov Electrical Engineering Plant. Developments of the SKB were realized at 20 plants of the former USSR and at present operate in 40 countries around the world.

The enterprise was engaged in development and production for military purposes, and now the same high requirements are realized in consumer goods.

Unique for its design, electrical, mechanical and other parameters, electric motors, manufactured by the SKB, are used in life support systems for sea vessels, railway locomotives, nuclear power plants, including those operating under extreme climatic conditions. The SKB testing center is equipped with automatic stands and testing equipment of its own production. Stands and equipment have no analogues and allow to test comprehensively both single samples and small industrial batches.
