ТRailway Division of UPEC IG demonstrated constructive innovations and technologies at the international specialized exhibition Rail Expo 2017 (October 24-25, Kyiv), introducing bearing products designed specifically for 1520 gauge space.

The event focused exclusively on the railway industry was attended by the companies from Ukraine, India, Latvia, the United States, Bulgaria, China and Poland. 

The significance of the exhibition in the process of the revival of the Ukrainian car building industry and the railway industry as a whole, in the introduction of the world's leading technologies and the laying of the foundations for sustainable economic growth, were emphasized by the special guests, including People's Deputy of Ukraine Anatoliy Girshfeld.

“The main core of the industrial development program we advocate is the localization of complex equipment in Ukraine at the level of 40%," said People's Deputy of Ukraine Anatoliy Girshfeld, and also noted that the level of investment in the renewal of "Ukrzaliznytsia" was unprecedented in its history - about 5,5 billion UAH . Both cars, diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, and infrastructure facilities shall be renovated. Due to this, Ukraine will gain the maximum benefit for the economy and additional jobs.

At the exhibition UPEC Industrial Group was represented  by the Kharkov Bearing Plant (HARP) and introduced a new generation of energy-efficient bearings for the railway industry:

- cartridge-type double cylindrical bearing assembly with CRU Duplex short cylindrical rollers for freight and passenger cars with a load of 23.5 t/s per axle;

- cartridge-type double-row bearing with tapered rollers TBU HARP 1520, in dimensions 150 x 250, designed for innovative cars with increased carrying capacity of over 25 t/s per axle.

However, in addition to HARP products, the visitors to the exhibition learnt about the railway assortment of the Lozova Forging-Mechanical Plant and the Ukrainian Casting Company, which are also part of the UPEC IG enterprises.

"As part of the B2B format exhibition, we negotiated with key visitors of the event, including the heads and top-managers of various structural units of Ukrzaliznytsia, car repair companies, owners and operators of rolling stock, representatives of scientific research institutes and other partners," as comments the director of the railway division of UPEK TRADING, Viktor Gukov. And he also states that the representatives of Bulgaria, Belarus and Turkey are interested in the HARP products.

"It is worth noting that we have reached an agreement on the delivery of HARP bearings for the first half of 2018 with one of the Turkish companies," continues the division's director.

UPEC industrial group and the enterprises that are part of the corporation play an important role in the revival of the Ukrainian car building industry and the railway industry as a whole, introducing constructive innovations and technologies for the development of the industry, thereby creating positive changes in the entire national economy.
