UPEC RAILWAY DIVISION INTRODUCED INNOVATIVE BEARING PRODUCTS AT EXPO 1520

In the period from August 30 to September 2, the UPEC Railway Division introduced innovative HARP bearing products at the International Railway Exhibition of Equipment and Technologies "EXPO 1520".

The exhibition held within the framework of the railway salon was attended by companies from 26 countries. The UPEC Railway Division exhibition presented a wide range of cassette bearings for all types of railway transport specifically adapted for use in the territory of the "1520 gauge space".

Ten-year fundamental research and applied developments together with comprehensive optimization of manufacturing technologies led to the creation of innovative types of bearings that HARP offers today, such as a conical bearing unit of the TBU 1520 series for the axle boxes of freight wagons with a load of 23.5-25 t / s per axle, as well as for passenger wagons; cylindrical bearing assembly of the CRU DUPLEX series for the axle boxes of freight and passenger cars with a load of 23.5 t / s per axle; cylindrical bearing assembly CRU HARP intended for installation in locomotive axle box units and having protective washers and special seals; cylindrical bearing assembly of closed type CRB HARP for locomotive traction motors with the possibility of producing an outer ring with a diameter of 200 to 400 mm.

Unlike other known cassette bearing units, the new product line was already at the design phase optimized to the operating conditions of the 1520 gauge track countries. HARP cassette-type bearing units withstand a range of ambient temperatures from -60 ° C to + 150 ° C and a higher bearing load due to bends, descents, ascents and other features of the 1520 gauge track space.

"During the exhibition we held talks with rolling stock heads from different countries who were interested in our innovative bearings. The CRU Duplex model has already gained a reputation in this market as a reliable axle box unit with a guaranteed overhaul mileage of 800 thousand km and more than 8 years of reliable operation", said the market consultant Alexander Tverdokhleb.

We remind that in August the resource testing of the TBU 1520 cassette bearing (150x250) developed for high-capacity wagons of 1520 gauge track space was successfully completed.
